Prologue

Set against the backdrop of a storm-battered, abandoned home on the Pacific Northwest coast, Prologue is a first-person psychological horror game that explores the collapse of memory, identity, and reality through the fractured bond of two sisters—Abigail and Luna. What begins as an exploration of a decaying house quickly becomes a descent into the impossible, as the player uncovers remnants of childhood games, betrayal, and a ritual that opened a door to the space between universes.

Emphasizing an auditory and visual experience focused on evoking a sense of trepidation, players navigate a photorealistic environment solving environmental puzzles, collecting artifacts, and unlocking quantum-physics-inspired abilities. These powers are governed by a resource system and RPG-style character progression, reflecting the player’s gradual connection to something much older and deeper than they understand.

Rather than relying on traditional jump scares, Prologue leans into dread, psychological distortion, and an ever-deepening sense of personal unraveling pulling inspiration from games such as P.T. and themes of analog horror.  As the player progresses, it becomes clear that they are not simply uncovering the past—they are part of it.
